Happy Sunday Dare 2B Artzy Friends!!

Our February Guest Designer Kathy is back today to share some more lovely inspiration with us!!  It was so nice to have your Guest Designing with us this month!!  THANKS!!

It’s been such an honor and pleasure to be Dare 2B Artzy’s February guest designer….thank you, Cindy and Kendra!  There are so many wonderful stamps, dies and pattern paper in the store and I’ve had so much fun playing with some of the newest goodies which reminded me of spring (which can’t get here soon enough for me)!

My first card today features April Showers.  I love this darling little girl and her cute rain boots, raincoat and umbrella!  I created a ‘stormy’ background with distress oxide inks and added the rainbow cut from cardstock.  I stamped the girl image on the card and then popped up a copic colored image on top to give a 3D effect.  The puddle and raindrops were colored and then I added glaze to make the appearance of water.

This first card took a little bit of time to put together, but the second card (below) took no time at all.  Both cards were so much fun to create!

For this card, I layered pink and blue cardstock then added the bright yellow piece cut with the new Trellis Background Die.  The pretty plaid pattern paper is from the Summertime Petals Collection.  The vases were actually cut from the Pitcher This Paper pattern using the Water Pitcher Dies!  Doesn’t get easier than that!  The sentiment from the Refresh The Soul stamp set is white embossed.

Many of the new papers have dies that coordinate with images making it super easy to create cards, scrapbook pages, tags and more!

Hope you’ll stop by the Dare 2B Artzy store and check ’em out!

Have a nice day!

Greetings!   Happy Weekend!  Today I am super excited to share this card I created with D2BA brand new stamps set called BEE-utiful!  As a science major (my day job)  I LOVE all things nature related!  So these stamps were a must for my collection!

I started by stamping the image and sentiment onto white card stock. I then colored my image with my colored pencils!  You can see a close up of the images below.

I matted my stamped image and paired the image with D2BA’s Joyful Bloom plaid paper  and coordinating cardstock to finish off the card!  I hope you are inspired to get stamping!

Greetings!  Happy Saturday!  Today I am excited to share this “cheeky” card created with D2BA brand new Alpaca Fun Stamps!

To create this card I stamped the Alpaca and sentiment onto white cardstock.  I fussy cut around the alpaca.  I then colored the alpaca with my colored pencils.  To create the fuzzy look, I added glue to the image and sprinkled the image with white flocking.  You can see a close up below.

I paired my image and sentiment with D2BA Fields of Joy Butterflies Paper (B Side)  and coordinating cardstock to finish off the card. I hope this project inspires you to get stamping!

Honey Bloomz to the Rescue

Hi Artzy friends! It’s Tonya from Krafty Enchantments. I’m popping in today to share my card that I created using some of the Honey Bloomz paper pack and the Shine Floral dies.

As the title of this post suggests, Dare 2B Artzy came to my rescue with the awesome new papers that coordinate with several of the new dies.

I’m in the midst of a move to a new home. In planning for this card, I’d thought I had set aside the stamps with the dies I was going to use. However when I set out to work on my card, I realized that the stamps had been boxed up and already taken to our new place. We’re sort of in limbo between two places right now which is proving to be a bit of a challenge. For a split second I’d panicked because I had the whole card planned out and didn’t have a Plan B. Thankfully, Dare 2B Artzy’s Honey Bloomz paper came to the rescue.

The new Dare 2B Artzy 12 x 12 papers are not only gorgeous, but several of them also have a nice benefit because the dies for the new stamps also work on the papers as well. How awesome is that when you don’t have time to color an image or in my case have boxed up and already moved your stamps?

To create my card, I used the coordinating Honey Bloomz paper and the matching Shine Florals dies and cut them out with my die cutting machine. They cut perfectly and were ready to pop onto my card – even the cute little bee.

I did add a bit of shading on the large sunflower and the bee using my Copic markers.

My embossed panel was created using a hexagon embossing folder I found while purging and packing my craft supplies. I embossed a piece of watercolor paper and used my clarity brushes to brush on some yellow ink and some denim colored ink around the outer corners to give it a bit of contrast.

For the sentiment, thankfully I’d managed to set aside the new BEE-utiful stamp set. I stamped the Remember the Bumble Bee sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock with some black Versafine Ink. Next, I brushed on some yellow and blue ink to coordinate with my embossed background. I covered the entire piece with clear embossing powder to give it a bit of a dewy finish. Finally, I die cut the sentiment with a fishtail flag die.

My card base is an A2 size cut from 110lb Neenah Solar White Cardstock. I added a piece of the navy blue plaid Dare 2B Artzy paper cut just slightly smaller. My hexagon panel was added with the die cut flowers popped up using some dimensional foam. I added the sentiment with a double layer of dimensional foam.

Since I couldn’t stamp the bee flight tracks onto my embossed background, I used a micron pen and drew it onto the background.

To finish the card, I added a bit of sparkle to the flowers using a clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen and I added a brown glimmer dot to the center of the sunflower.

This card came together very quickly with the help of the Dare 2B Artzy coordinating papers. They are perfect when you want to create a beautiful card quickly.

Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card and have been inspired to try to create some beautiful cards with the new papers and dies.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hello Dare 2B Artzy Friends!

I hope you all got a chance to hop along with us!  There where some beautiful cards and lots of inspiration.  I am using the The Bear Banner stamp set with matching dies.  This set has an interchangeable banner which makes it a very versatile set.

  2. Use a heart border punch on a piece of red card stock 2 x 5 1/4
  3. Glue the red and DP together add the heart border and the red ribbon and then glue to the white card front

Though I went with a general sentiment for this card, there are a few sentiments in this set that really make me laugh and I’m looking forward to using them for a few future cards 🙂

A quick Happy hello from Michelle Houghton at I have a bright, cheery, and a little silly card to share today. Make sure to check in tomorrow to follow a long with a weekend blog hop and don’t forget the latest D2BA challenge!

For today’s inspiration I am playing with the Alpaca Cake set and coloring them up with my Copic markers.

Here is the pile that I used for at least most of the image

Notice I have a blank area? I wanted to brighten up the blanket so I went into my pile of D2PA papers and pulled a little pile then matched 4 markers to the papers

So then I trimmed off all those beautiful paper edges, they need a little love too, and filled a full card front with them

Then I finished up the coloring on my Alpaca and added the image. Really no embellishment was needed with all that color!

And LOVE the sentiment!

Happy Thursday all come see all my doings over on my blog and come back right here tomorrow for the blog hop!

Have a Happy Colorful Day!

The products used for this card include:

Alpaca Cake

Dare 2B Artzy Premium Ink Totally Black

Assorted Dare 2B Artzy patterned papers

Hi everyone, it’s Vicki here today from All I Do Is Stamp.  While it is Valentine’s Day [happy V Day by the way], I didn’t go for a heart card. That said, I did come up with a very pretty card. 🙂

Just look at all that lovely glitter!

To make this card, I used the new beautiful Wild Flower Stencil and some glitter paste.

Just spatula on the paste and let dry.  It shows up so gorgeous against the black card stock.

To finish it off, I cut out the Thanks out of a separate panel I just glitter pasted so it would match the rest of the card, and added on a few gems for additional texture.

Have you tried the new stencils yet?  They are very cool!

See you next time~

Hi D2BA friends!

Tasha here sharing a card created with the new BEE-utiful stamp set.

For the card, I stamped the flower and little bee images with D2BA Totally Black Ink. I colored them with markers and used clear glitter on top to add some sparkle; love all the detail in the flowers and bee wings!

There are four great sentiments included in this fun set, but I thought “Happy Everything” would be perfect to send any time of the year to someone special. It was stamped in the same ink on cream cardstock.

The pattern paper is from the new Honey Bloomz paper pack. All the paper is double-sided and both of the designs shown are from one sheet!

To add some texture, I used foam tape on all the stamped images, and bent the bee wings to look like they’re flying off the card.

Lastly, I embellished with white gel pen and attached the card to a cream colored base. I can not wait to send this out and to make another fun project with this awesome stamp set!

Hi!  It’s Melody from Handmade Card Happiness and Instagram here to share my excitement over the latest release from Dare 2B Artzy!

Dare 2B Artzy’s newest release features an amazing array of stamps, papers, and dies!
Today’s joy fold card features the Refresh the Soul stamp set with its coordinating Water Pitcher Dies!

After stamping the pitcher with Totally Black Ink, I colored the image with the following Copic Markers:
(RV04, RV09, R56), (Y17, YR16, R05), and (BG13, BG05, BG09).
Accents were added with Glossy Accents and Sakura Glaze Pens.

I stamped the leaves with D2BA’s Margarita Lime Ink and die cut the pitcher and leaves with the coordinating dies.
The sentiments were also stamped with the Totally Black Ink.

Don’t you just love the sentiments?  I think the recipient will, too!
The papers used for this card are also from the latest D2BA release.  I used both sides of the Pretty in Pink paper to add the cheerful layers to the card.  This paper is from the Summertime Petals Collection Paper Pack.

Check out what the other designers have added to the Dare 2B Artzy Blog as well as #dare2bartzy on Instagram for even more inspiration!  While you’re on the Dare 2B Artzy Blog, check out the latest challenge!  Link up your projects for a chance to win a stamp set and ink pad of your choice!

Happy stamping!

Happy Sunday Dare 2B Artzy Friends!!

We have new Guest Designer joining us this month!!

Please help us welcome the talented Kathy!

We are so very excited to have her designing with us this month!!

Here is a little bit about Kathy:

I’ve been married to my honey, Mark, for 22 years and we have a beautiful daughter, Danielle, who is a junior in college.  Since I was little, I enjoyed all kinds of crafting, but then stamping found me and it was love at first inking.   Stamping and paper crafting just plain make me happy and keep me sane!  I was first introduced to Dare 2B Artzy at Legacy Paper Arts – the first store to carry the line – and I’ve been a fan ever since!!

I’m so thrilled to be Dare 2B Artzy‘s Guest Designer for February!!!

My cards today are featuring the new Bouquet 4 You stampsFresh Picked dies, coordinating Summertime Petals pattern paper and Trellis die.

With all the cold weather we’ve been having, I needed a touch of spring and the new Bouquet 4 You  set did the trick!

For the first card, I layered two different pattern designs from the Summertime Petals collection.  I cut white cardstock using the new Trellis die; cutting out a small rectangle from the die cut Trellis piece to fit behind the frame.

The sweet flower pot images were copic colored.

Need to make a quick card?  Is coloring not your thing or you don’t have the time?  Then you are gonna LOVE this!  The Fresh Picked dies perfectly coordinate with images on the Summertime Petals collection!  Simply line up a die to the coordinating image on the pattern paper and send it through your die cutting machine!

My second card literally took 10 minutes to put together!  I layered pink cardstock for the background and cut white cardstock with the Trellis die.  I then lined up the bouquet die and bow die with the coordinating pattern paper image and ran through my Big Shot.  The sentiment was stamped on vellum and I added a few large sequins.  Voila!

There are so many Dare 2B Artzy stamps and dies you’ll fall in LOVE with and tons of new goodies in the store (psst…even stencils)!  Looking forward to sharing more projects with you in the coming weeks!

Have a nice day!

That is Right! your favorite Stamp Company (Dare 2B Artzy) has Stencils now too!  today I am excited to share this tag/boomark I created using lots of new releases from D2BA!

To recreate this project you will need the following:

D2BA New Releases:

SWIRL STENCIL                WILD FLOWER STENCIL              Nesting Rectangles Fancy Frames Dies

BEE-utiful Stamp Set

You will also need a manilla tag, Inks (I choose Oxide inks), coordinating card stock and ribbon (or see how I made my coordinating ribbon below!)

Start by laying the Wildflower Stencil over the tag.

I then applied my ink.

I then laid the Swirl Stencil and applied a darker coordinating ink.

(NOTE: I originally only was going to cover 1/2 my tag with this stencils but then covered the entire tag with the stencil for the finished project)

I then activated my oxide inks by spritzing with water and let dry.

I matted my tag onto cardstock and then stamped the bees onto my tag with D2BA Totally Black ink.

I then stamped my sentiment onto cardstock and die cut with D2BA Nesting dies. I also cut a mat by cutting the next size up from the dies and added to my tag.

I finished my card with a coordianting ribbon I created.

I took my white ribbon and drug it through ink that had been stamped on my kraft sheet and then let it dry!

I really hope you are inspired to get stamping and Stenciling!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday D2BA Friends!

Have you SEEN the new alpaca stamps from Dare 2B Artzy??!  They are ADORABLE!  The alpaca I used for my card today is from the Spit Happens set!  The sentiment comes from the other alpaca set called, Alpaca Cake.
So cute!  I used Copic marker colors:  G40, G43, RV53, RV55, BG53, BG57, W0, W2, W3, E31, E33, and Y26.  The presents and cacti are also in the Spit Happens set.  So love this set!  The background and shading on the sun and sand is done with Distress Inks.  Here’s a close-up.

Craftily yours,

Hi there & happy Wednesday! It’s Tonya from Krafty Enchantments. I’m back on today with a card featuring one of the gorgeous new stamp sets from Dare 2B Artzy called Blossom.

I knew when I saw this set that I wanted to create some gorgeous purple and blue flowers and use them to frame the sentiment.

To start my card, I stamped the flowers onto a Post-it note and fussy cut it to create my mask.

Next, I cut a piece of Arches Cold Press water color paper so that it was a bit larger than an A2 size card. I positioned the water color card stock into my MISTI and held it in place firmly with my bar magnets. I positioned the stamp starting in the corner of the paper and then inked it and stamped it so that just the blossoms would be showing. Since it was water color paper, I had to stamp in a couple times. The MISTI is perfect for stamping multiple times.

Once the flowers were stamped once, I placed the mask over top of the image I just stamped. I cleaned my stamp off using a baby wipe and repositioned it so that it would stamp in the center and overlap the previous stamped image a bit. Once I had the stamp positioned where I wanted it I re-inked with the Versafine and stamped it again. I repeated this process until I had the top and the bottom of the paper stamped with my floral images.

With my images stamped, I was finally ready to color. The card really only used 4 colors of Zig Clean Color Brush pens; Deep Violet, Light Blue for the flowers and Marine Green and Light Green for the leaves.  I colored the flowers first by brushing on a small amount of the purple and then using a water brush, I moved the color around. Once the purple was dry I was able to add the light blue to the flower edges and then add some water to blend the two colors a bit. I did the same with the leaves, using the Marine Green first and then added in a touch of the Light Green and blended the two with my water brush again.

Once all of the flowers and leaves were colored and had dried completely, I went back in with some Chameleon and Soucolor colored pencils and added a bit more detail to the flowers. This also helped to smooth out the blending of the water colors. I also added some yellow centers on the flowers with a colored pencil. It was such a tiny area, it was easier to add this detail with a colored pencil.

The sentiment was stamped with some Versamark and heat embossed with some light blue embossing powder.

I went back in and added some clear sparkle to all of the flowers with a Spectrum Noir clear brush pen. It is so sparkly and stunning in person. I don’t think the camera quite captures the sparkle.

I popped my panel up with some dimensional foam onto a piece of holographic cardstock. This just added a bit of shine around the edges of the floral piece and helps make the colors pop.

For a bit more sparkle, I added some iridescent sequins to the card front.

My finished card size was an A2.

I’m over the moon with how this card turned out. I love the flowers from the Blossom stamp set framing the wonderful sentiment and the vibrant colors are so pretty. It’s a card that will certainly brighten someone’s day!

The Blossom stamp set is new and now available in the Dare 2B Artzy store. You can find all of the new stamps under the “What’s New” section of the store. The coordinating die set for this stamp will be available in March. Be sure to check out the new paper packs as well. The papers are so gorgeous! I know I have a bad case of “want it all fever”!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’ve enjoyed today’s card!
