Happy Wednesday Dare 2B Artzy friends, Tonya here from Krafty Enchantments. What could be better than the sheer mention of Spring? A HOP in celebration of Coffee and Spring and all things crafty, that’s what! I’m super excited to be here today to share another Dare 2B Artzy card. This one is for the Coffee Loving Paper crafters Spring Coffee HOP. Dare 2B Artzy is a Super Sponsor of this HOP for the first time ever and everyone on the Dare 2B Artzy team has been having so much fun with it!

I’m so excited about this HOP. I’m a coffee monster! That is to say, I love my coffee and I’m a monster without it – ask my hubby! LOL! You’ve gotta start the day off on the right foot and that always includes coffee – hot or iced, espresso or macchiato, latte or just a down home cuppa’ joe. It’s the juice to fuel your brain for work (meh!) or crafting (yay!). Disclaimer: coffee was consumed during the making of this card – for inspiration.

My card for today’s hop uses the adorable Perfect Blend stamp set and matching D40 Coffee Cup Die as well as a sentiment from the Hug in a Mug stamp set. These stamps and die are new for 2017 and I love them. The sentiments are so darling and absolutely perfect for any kind of coffee related card you could ever create.

To create my card today I started off wanting to make a java bean background.  I used the little coffee beans from both the Perfect Blend and the Hug in a Mug set and stamped them randomly onto some Kraft cardstock with some Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with a couple of different shades of brown embossing powder. I continued stamping and embossing until I was satisfied with the quantity of beans.

Next, I used a scalloped frame die and die cut the Kraft cardstock to give it a little border all the way around.

I knew I wanted to incorporate the gorgeous salmon colored paper from the Dare 2B Artzy In Bloom paper pack, but I didn’t just want the image to be used on the coffee mug. I wanted something bold.

To create a bold spring look I decided to use a new bold alphabet die set that I’d just received. I cut 4 layers of white cardstock with the letters to spell coffee and then I cut one more layer using the Dare 2B Artzy In Bloom paper. I glued the layers together for each letter with the top layer being the In Bloom paper. This gave each letter a 3 dimensional look that I really liked. You could create the same effect using craft foam sheets but cardstock works just as well with the layers. With each letter glued together, I set them aside to dry.

I stamped the coffee cup from the perfect blend onto some white cardstock and then again onto some of the Blooms Paper from Dare 2B Artzy.  I colored the cup using some bright yellow-greens from my Copic markers using YG01, YG03 and YG05 and then created a subtle shadow on the white lid using some B000. Once it was colored, I used the matching die to cut out the cup.

For the coffee wrap, I fussy cut the wrap from the cup that I’d stamped onto the Bloom Paper. Once cut, I used a black marker to color the edge of the paper. Then I glued it in place on top of the coffee mug so that it would have a lovely floral wrap. Starbucks should make some fancy floral wraps for their coffee – it would really dress them up.

I created several layers to add to my card from some light green, light blue and copper colored cardstock. For each layer I used various scalloped dies to create the chevron borders and the scalloped borders around each layer.  On the light blue layer, I stamped the sentiment Breakfast Poured from the Hug in a Mug stamp set and heat embossed it with some brown metallic embossing powder.

Before I could assemble the layers of my card, I first had to glue the die cut coffee letters in place. I wanted to make sure and get them onto the base in a straight line. To do this I used a grid paper pad and laid my coffee bean background onto the grid and arranged it so that it was aligned with the grid. I used a roll of thin Washi tape to tape down the bottom edge so that the tape was aligned with the grid and then folded the ends of tape around to the back.   This allowed me to butt the letters up against the edge of the Washi tape and get the spacing between the letters right. Once my placement was perfect, I worked my way from the outside letters C & E and glued them in place first before moving on to the O & E and so on until all the letters were glued down. I let the letters dry a little bit and then carefully peeled off the Washi tape from the bottom edge. The Washi tape worked wonders for aligning a straight edge.

I adhered down all of my layers using glue runner and some foam tape for added dimension. For my top layer I added the little coffee cup with some dimensional foam next to the sentiment.

My final touch was to add a few sparkly brown embellished dots to the card front. I thought that they kind of look like drops of coffee.

Hopefully you’re having a fabulous Wednesday and you’re taking some time out to enjoy and maybe even sharing your own coffee inspiration for the Spring Coffee Loving Paper crafters HOP.

Hi Dare 2B Artzy friends!

Tasha here from sharing a fun coffee themed project created with the Perfect Blend stamp set!

d2bamarch 1

For the project, I used green D2BA pattern paper to create a K-Cup holder; perfect office gift idea! I used matching paper to create toppers for the K-Cups and added a scalloped frame for extra detail!

The cups were cut from the coordinating die set and I used purple pattern paper from the same paper pack. I love purple and green color combinations, and thought it was totally trendy!

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment on white paper with D2BA black premium ink and embellished with the little coffee beans.

I hope you enjoyed this project and be sure to check out the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop for more coffee themed inspiration!

Good morning, coffee lovers!  It’s Melody from Handmade Card Happiness and Instagram!
I am so excited to be participating in my very first Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Dare 2B Artzy is one of the Super Sponsors so our entire team is thrilled!

I adore this Perfect Blend stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy!  If there was ever a stamp set created for masking techniques, this is it!
After stamping my images with Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Ink, I stamped the coffee cup onto Inkadinkado stamping mask paper.  I fussy cut each portion of the cup apart so I could mask off different portions of the cup as needed.  Then the wild and crazy stamping frenzy began!  I pulled out a plethora of stamps that had smaller images and had a party in my craft room!  As you can see from the image above, it looks like a hot mess during the process, but once you remove the masks, the reveal is so much fun!

These are the cups after masking and a little coloring.  I used the following Copic markers:
YG13, G02
R43, R14, R24
BG01, BG02

I used the stitched rectangle from the Leaf Background Die to cut a piece of Paisley Paper which I mounted on melon colored card stock.  This was then adhered to my card base.  Some of the cups were adhered directly to the paisley paper while others were mounted with foam tape for dimension.

I hope you have a great Monday and get to spend some time enjoying this fabulous blog hop!  Dare 2B Artzy is also offering a discount during the hop!
Happy hopping!  As the sentiment from Perfect Blend says, “May your coffee be strong and your Mondays be short!”

HI Dare2BArtzy friends!

Kelly here with another card to share with you as a Guest Designer for March.

Today’s card is using the stamp set Flip Flops as summer is going to be here sooner than we think!
This card has a lot of layers – perfect for the challenge this month: Lots of Layers.

First up, I inked the fun lemonade stamp, colored it with copic markers and blended it to give it a little ‘watery’ vibe.

There is an awesome matching die set to this stamp set – you can see that here.

I’ve fussy cut mine and added 3d foam dots to pop it up from the card.

Lastly, the sentiment is a wonderful reminder for all of us to take some time to unwind!

I hope today’s card inspires you to get inky with your Dare2BArtzy stamps and inks!

Inky hugs!

Greetings!  Chris here from Psychotic Ramblings of a Serial Scrapper sharing this coffee card with you! This card was created for this month’s Blog Hop at Coffee Loving Card Makers.

To re-create this card start by cutting my Flower Power paper slightly smaller than my card base.  Add a large cardstock block across the center of my card.

Stamp the coffee cup and greeting from the Dare 2B Artzy Perfect Blend Stamps set onto white cardstock. ( I originally stamped the steam, but my card went off in another direction and the steam did not get used. )

Cut the greeting into a banner shape.  Color the coffee cup with your favorite markers. I chose Spectrum Noir markers in TN 2, TN 3, and IB 1. Stamp cup wrap with coordinating greeting from the stamp set. Fussy cut your colored coffee mug.

Add your cup and banner greeting to the card base.  Accent cardstock with doodled stitches.  Hope you are inspired to get stamping and play along with the Blog Hop at Coffee Loving Card Makers.

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N’ Make Cards to share an inspirational card with you using the Perfect Blend stamp set!

I really like the mug stamp in the set and when I saw it, I thought it would be fun to “spice” it up a little, by adding some flowers!!  As most of my cappuccino/cocoa mugs have flowers on them!!

So I stamped the mug on a piece of white cardstock and used some post-it notes to mask up around the mug where I didn’t want the flowers to stamp. I used the Happiness Blooms stamp set for the cute cluster of flowers!  With the theme of spring, I thought they would make the perfect touch!

Now don’t get me wrong, this mug is awesome just the way it is!

But just think of all the endless possibilities there are in customizing this mug!!  So fun!!

I did the same for the top part of the mug as well!!

I then used the coordinating CUP Die to die cut it out so I could use pop-dots to adhere it to my card base!

I stamped the mug on a piece of kraft cardstock as well and fussy cut the middle part, so I could then run it through my die cutting machine with a striped embossing folder!  Makes it look just like those coffee wraps!!

I really like how the mug turned out!!

I stamped the steam above the mug and added two enamel hearts!  I also added the ‘You warm my heart’ sentiment, which are both from the Perfect Blend stamp set as well!

We ARE also offering a Flash Prize to one lucky person!!

You will win a Stamp Set and Ink Pad of your choice!!  Winner will be announced on the Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog April 2nd! as well!

Thanks for hopping along, we hop you have been inspired!!

Have an Artzy Day!!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!
I am having so much fun with the new chipboard that coordinates with the Totally Tracy stamps!  This style of crafting is very different for me, and I’m enjoying stretching my boundaries a bit.  Today’s card features the stamp set, Be Bold.
I used a TH stencil to stencil on the sunray with distress inks in Fossilized Amber and Dried Marigold.  I then painted the flower with Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold Distress paints before stamping the flower using Totally Black ink.  I covered the whole flower with crackle paint and added a Nuvo drop center!  The highlight paper is from the Blooming Border pack.  (Love those lil leaves!)
Here’s a close-up of the sparkly flower goodness:

Hello to all the Dare 2B Atrzy friends!!

Janette here to share with you a cheery watercolor piece!

(products linked at bottom of post)

When I first began cardmaking I thought I was a Copic girl. Then came watercolors and lastly colored pencils. And while I do love all of those mediums, there is something magical and captivating about watercolor. Every time I go back to it, I am enchanted all over again…

To create this card I stamped the D2BA Totally Tracy Renew Your Spirit stamp set 3x across the panel with Versamark on smooth watercolor paper and heat embossed it with white detail powder. Next, I loaded my brush with color and drug the color along the edges of the area I was coloring. Then I came back with clean clear water and drew the color out for a soft blend. I dropped other color in to the wet areas for a bit of interest and highlight.

IMG_1526 (1)

As the card was drying I created a flag banner and again used heat embossed with white for a standout sentiment. I found a die from my stash with multiple words and trimmed out just the “Love” portion. It was the perfect size! I then topped it with Glossy Accents and once dry, painted “Love” gold. Adhere “Love” to banner and then banner to base with dimensional adhesive.

Check out all D2BA’s products here! Don’t forget about the newest D2BA Challenge themed “Lots of Layers.” The current challenge is always posted in the sidebar to the right at the top.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you come by again for more amazing inspiration!

Creatively Yours, Janette

Hi Dare 2B Artzy friends!
Kelly here on the D2BA blog to share another card as the guest designer this month!

Last week, I shared an arctic penguin fun card

Today, we’ll head into the sunshine for some sun and sand in our flip flops!
The beautiful stamp set that is featured on today’s card is called exactly that, Flip Flops!
 Too fun!
Using my D2BA Totally Black premium die inkI stamped out the sentiment in the Flip Flops stamp set onto heavy weight white cardstock.

These inks stamp crisp and perfectly every.  single.  time!

I then stamped the adirondack chair onto textured paper to give it a wooden, weather look.

Take a look at the amazing inks that Dare 2B Artzy carries – fabulous and very juicy ink pads!!

I ran that through the die cut machine with a sloped, stitched die, added some twine and buttons and brightly colored paper to complete the beachy look.
The inside carries over the same theme as the front with the flip flops and another sentiment in the set.
This stamp set is truly wonderful ~ and one you can use over and over again for a variety of cards!
Thanks for stopping by today!
