Hi crafters! Today I am here sharing a somewhat mixed media type card using Dream Big and Dream Catcher stamp sets which also has a matching Feather Dies.

watercolor card

I used a piece of watercolor paper & taped it down to my mat.  This helps keep the paper flat when drying.  Then I used some watercolor paint and spritzed the paper with water.  Next ink the stamp with Totally Black ink.

Here I used a white gelly roll pen to color in various areas of the stamp to make the image pop off the paper.  Then I used the “Dreams really do come true” sentiment from the Dream Big stamp set.  To finish off my card.

Just a close-up you can see how the pops of white really brighten the card up.  I hope everyone enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by!!!

Hello!  It’s Melody from Instagram melody_blake!  Today I have a fun gift idea to share…a double waterfall folio album.

The album was made using the Poinsettia Tangle stamp set and the D2BA Holly Days Paper Collection.  The coordinating D2BA paper collections make the creation of these albums so much fun!  I started by creating the cover from chipboard.  After assembling the waterfall, I adhered it to the inside and decorated each section with the designer paper.

Waterfall folio albums make great gifts for loved ones or for documenting occasions for yourself!  I am using this one to do some memory keeping just for me!

Here’s another album that I created using the D2BA Modern Bliss Collection Paper Pack.  With the beautiful selection of D2BA paper and coordinating stamps, these albums can be created for any occasion!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!
Today, I decided to make a get well card.  I never have enough of these to send to friends when they are under the weather…so this one is for my stash of cards:
Eeek, I love the hippy vibe of this card.  So much fun!  I used Dare 2B Artzy In Bloom Collection paper paired with the Serenity Tea Stamps.  This teapot was so much fun to color with the following Copic markers:
YG03, YG06, YG17, R81, R83, R85, B93, B95, B97
I added some thin lace and felt flowers.  And I adorned the teapot with some blue Nuvo drops.  I love the extra dimension that these drops provided.  To cut out the handle, I cut at the end and then just glued it back together 🙂  Here’s a close-up:

Hi Chris here and today I would like to share with you this embossed poinsettia card.

To create this card I started by creating the card base with cardstock.  I then added the green cardstock and punched the border for some visual interest. I then added the Holly Days paper and the cut away strip from the Poinsettia paper as an accent.

I then stamped the Poinsettia with Versamark and added white embossing powder. I filled in the center of the poinsettia with red Stickles. While that was drying I stamped and embossed my greeting. Here is a close up.

To finish off the card I added some hand cut holly leaves.  Hope you are inspired to get stamping!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…and it’s the PERFECT time to make gift bags using the Dare 2B Artzy Holly Days Paper Collection!

The paper was cut to 6″ x 12″.  Since I wanted to see both sides of the designer paper, I scored 1″ along the 12″ side of the paper, folded it forward, and adhered it down before using the We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board to make the bag.

The Family Stockings stamp set was the perfect size to create tags for the gift bags.  I began by folding white card stock in half and positioning the stocking die which is included in the set as shown below:

Placing the die above the fold line created a base for the tag.  I then stamped the stocking and holly stamps, cut them out using the coordinating dies, and adhered to the tag bases.  Red pearls added the finishing touches to the holly images.

To make the gift bags extra special, I stamped the tissue paper with coordinating stamp images.

I would love to see any gift bags you create with Dare 2B Artzy products!  Be sure and post a picture to Instagram using the hashtag #dare2bartzy, and don’t forget to check out our HOLIDAY BLOG HOP that starts on Friday, December 16th!

Happy Holly Days!

Happy December, Dare 2B Artzy fans!  It’s Melody from Instagram @melody_blake.  I am madly working on my Christmas cards with the goal of mailing them all out before December 10th!  I think I am going to make my goal with the help of the gorgeous Dare 2B Artzy Poinsettia Tangle stamp.  It is an amazingly versatile stamp…check out the blog and Facebook page for all kinds of Poinsettia Tangle inspiration!

The poinsettia was colored with the following Copic Markers: R14, R29, R37, R56, R89, Y17, YR14, and C3.  A second image was stamped, and the five inner petals were colored and cut out.  Those were adhered to the top of the main poinsettia image with foam tape.  This was matted onto paper from the gorgeous Holly Days Paper Collection.  To give dimension to the small yellow structures in the center of the flower, Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Crystal Drops were added.

Thank you for stopping by!  Hope you have the happiest of holidays!

Stop by our blog on Friday, December 16, for our Dare 2B Artzy Holiday Blog Hop!

Happy Wednesday Dare 2B Artzy fans! Hope everyone’s having a wonderful day. It’s finally snowing here in Colorado which is perfect for the holiday spirit, but it brings with it the bitter artic cold which isn’t so fun.

Just in time for our wintery weather I have this adorable card to share with you from the Dare 2B Artzy Snowman stamp set. I just love this cute little snowman. With the set you get everything you need to create a snowman or you can opt to use just the head and scarf on a gift tag which would also be very cute. This set is so versatile.

For my snowman I first stamped the circle sentiment with all of the words in it with some Versamark embossing ink and used some really gorgeous blue embossing powder that’s sort of an iridescent blue-purple. I just love this color. Once the circle stamp was heat embossed I placed cardstock with it back into my MISTI and proceeded to position and stamp the head and the arms and the little dangling star he’s holding.

Once everything was stamped, I needed to fussy cut the snowman out. To make sure my circle for his body looked like a circle and not too wonky, I sorted through my circle dies and used one that was just slightly bigger than the sentiment and held it in place while I drew a faint pencil line for me to cut along.

Once the snowman was complete cut out, I was able to color in the little carrot nose and the trim on his hat. Even though he’s a snowman, I gave him a really light blue outline to one side of his face with my B0000 Copic marker. That gives his face a little depth and helps to keep him for looking so two dimensional. I also added some Wink of Stella shimmer to the star.

Next, I stamped just the scarf with some Versamark and I heat set it with some sparkly embossing powder called Clear Gold that actually has glitter in it so it also gives a bit of texture to the scarf. I really liked how it turned out.

For my background, I used a horizontal snow drifts die from MFT. I started out first by die cutting a piece of white cardstock and then I die cut the Dare 2B Artzy snowflake cardstock from the Winter Plaids set. I arranged the pieces like a puzzle back into place to create a snowy background and glued them in place on some dark blue shimmer cardstock. I added that to my card base of an off-white shimmery cardstock.

I die cut a cute little scalloped circle tag that I had and stamped it with the Let it Snow sentiment from the Dare 2B Artzy Penguin Fun set. I added a tiny white brad to the tag and placed it on my card front with a bit of dimensional foam.

I also used some dimensional foam on my snowman to pop him off the card as well.

Finally I’d picked up some snowflake accent pieces so I added a few of those to the front of the card as well to give it some more dimension.

I think this card turned out so stinkin’ cute! I really love this little snowman all dressed up and ready for Christmas and a snowy day.

As a side note, I did discover that if you happen to have picked up one of the Dare 2B Artzy Let it Snow stamp sets  the snowman head from that set will also work perfectly on the body of the Snowman set that I used to create my card. That stamp set is retired, but they are still listed for sale in the store so there may be a few available still if you’re interested in picking up both, I’d get it now

I hope you’ve enjoyed my card today and that you’ll check out the Dare 2B Artzy store to see all of the awesome seasonal stamps (many of them are new). Now is a good time to pick up some stamps and paper to give to someone for the holidays – we all have that one crafty friend (or that person might be you). Go ahead and pick up something fun that will have you being Artzy all year long!

Stay tuned, next week we have a fun Holiday blog hop planned with the Dare 2B Artzy Design Team. You won’t want to miss out (HINT-HINT lots of holiday inspiration and a prize is up for grabs!!).

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N Make Cards to share a fun card with you!!

Today I am going to share how to create a fun spinner card!

I started by coloring in two of the same penguin images from the adorable fun Penguin Fun stamp set!!  Now by all means you can use different images and even color the images differently!!  It so happens I was multitasking at the time at a retreat with some girlfriends and really wasn’t thinking and colored them the same!  Which is fine!  But it would have been fun to change them up a little!

But anyway….after coloring them with my Copics I die cut them with the matching Penguin Dies!

So next I created my card base as well as the layers I wanted to use for the front of my card.  I used white cardstock for my card base, a piece of red for my bottom layer and then a piece of beautiful Winter Plaid!

You are then ready to die cut your circle.  You can first run your layers through if you like so you can see where the circle is going to sit, then set the layers on your card base and set the die back inside and lightly trace the inner part of the circle.  Remove and place the circle die only on that half of the card and run it through your die cutting machine again.

But if it isn’t too think, which in my case it wasn’t, you can run it through all together.

The take a smaller circle from the same die set or another one and die cut it two times.

Lay one face down and add string along the back, then add adhesive or pop-dots.  I decided to used pop-dots!

Then place the other circle on top!  Now you have your spinner portion done!!

Cut your string! Put aside for a few seconds.

Flip your card layers over and add adhesive to the back!  Then your string spinner portion to the back as pictured below:

I try to keep the strings straight and tight.
Now you are ready to add the adorable Penguins and finish up your fun card!!!
My finished card:

Isn’t it adorable?!
I also used the circle die that I used to create the layers on my card to die cut a piece of Poinsettia Paper to place behind my spinner piece on the inside of the card!  As the spinner got a little lost being white with a white background.  I think it really pulled the whole card together nicely!!
So in love with this fun card!!

You can check out my blog post here, I have a short little video showing the card in action!!  I was unable to upload it here, sorry.
