Hi Dare 2B Artzy fans! How is everyone’s Wednesday going? There are two upsides to it being Wednesday. Number one, you’re half way through the week and number two, I’m back today with another fun Halloween Card. I’m so excited for fall and Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I absolutely love this time of year!!
Today’s card features this adorable Witch from the Witches Spell stamp set. I’m a total sucker for cute Halloween stamps and I really fell in love with this witch when I first saw her. She’s so cute and I knew I couldn’t wait to color her up and make a cute Halloween card with her.
I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock to 5 inches x 10 inches and scored the long side at 5 inches.
Next, I used a die to cut a large circle that is 3 inches in diameter out of another piece of white cardstock. I placed it over the front of my card base and centered it. I took a pencil and traced around my circle very lightly. This is so I’d know how far into the center to ink my card base.
To create my moonlit background, I sponged on some inks in several shades of purple, dark blue and a bit of black. I blended my inks using darkest colors on the outer edges getting lighter towards the pencil outline in the center of my card base.
I wanted to create some shiny, sparkly stars in my background. To do that, I used my MINC toner ink pen and dotted on some of the ink onto my background. The ink for the pen is a little thicker than marker ink so I set it aside to dry.
Next, I sponged my white circle with a couple shades of yellow and a light amount of black to create some shadows to transform it into a full moon.
I stamped the witch from the Witches Spell stamp set and colored her using my Copic markers. I even put a bit of a purple streak in her hair just for fun. Once I was finished I fussy cut her out. I left a bit of a white edge around my witch and I colored it yellow to make it appear that she is backlit from the moonlight.
I also stamped and fussy cut the bat from the set. I added some Black Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to the bat and also the cute Witches Hat which makes them sparkle so much as you can see from the photo.
My card base was finally dry enough to run through the MINC machine. I placed a piece of silver foil over my card base, making sure that the entire front was covered. I placed the foil covered base between a piece of folded cardstock and ran it through my MINC with a setting of 4. I typically run my images through the machine twice, just for good measure. Once the image was cooled, I peeled off the foil to reveal the starry sky. Foiling is such a great way to add interesting details to your cards and now with all of the available colors of foil you can do so many cool effects with your projects.
I added on my moon, witch and the bat to my card base using some dimensional foam.
The sentiment, Trick or Treat was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with some white embossing powder and die cut it with a fishtail flag die.
I added some sparkly white dimensional dots complete the look.
Hope you enjoyed my card today as much as I enjoyed creating it. If you’re making Halloween Cards right now be sure to check out the super cute Halloween stamps in the Dare 2B Artzy store, there’s quite a few to choose from. If you like this adorable witch from the Witches Spell set it is on sale right now so grab it while you can.

With Fall in the air here in WI, I thought for my post today I would feature the beautiful Tangle Leaves stamp set!
I collected a few supplies:
Ink (Totally Black, Pomegranate, Bright Pumpkin, Sunset Yellow)
Stamp Set (Tangle Leaves)
I started by first deciding what leaf I was going to work with from the Tangle Leaves so I would know how to make the watercolor background!
I then used my paint brush to dip the tip of it lightly in my water and then lightly brushed the water on my water color paper where I was first going to add color. I then lightly pressed the tip of the paint brush on the ink pad to grabbed some color! Then you can brush the color on the paper where you added the water!
Continue working with the color and water till you get a watercolor piece you like!
I was really happy with this:
Now the hard part…letting it dry!
I personally hate this step! LOL. I just would like to stamp the leaf right away, but warning if you would the ink tends to bleed a little because of the water used!
So if you are really impatient, like I tend to be sometimes, you can use your heat gun to make it dry faster!
After letting it dry I stamped the gorgeous leaf and sentiment!
My finished card:
Isn’t it beautiful?!
I sure think so!
I just love the lead images in the Tangle Leaves stamp set!!

Be sure to check back for more amazing inspiration!
Have a beautiful day!
I used some White Shimmer ink which shows up well on the Chalkstock paper from Canvas Corp.
I used my MISTI tool to stamp the feathers and center focal piece. I will say this is a great tool to have. Especially for those times when you dont get a good inked impression because the ink was not spready evenly on your stamp, simply reink and stamp again. The MISTI allows you to stamp the image over and over without distorting the look
I absolutely love how this card turned out. This is one of my favorite stamp/die sets from the store. There are so many different uses you can get out of this stamp. Simply amazing. Don’t forget to check out the challenge we have going on right now. Dare 2B Artzy is giving away some of their amazing stamps so hurry and enter!
Chris here and today I would love to share with you this cheery birthday card I created for this month’s challenge!
This card uses 3 Dare 2B Artzy stamp sets! I started by using our brand new Modern Bliss papers to create the card base. I then Stamped my card band using the Paisley Bliss and the vine from the Tis the Season stamp sets with Dare 2B Artzy Midnight Blue Ink, I added my greeting using the Bright birthday Set!
Here is a close up of the stamping! I hope you are inspired to join our monthly challenge!
Karen N here today! When I started to craft, I only did some very simple scrapbooks. A wonderful woman named, Sharon, who runs a small shop and class in Sacramento, CA, got me totally and completely hooked on many other styles of paper-crafting. Every 6 weeks, she teaches a series of courses that I’ve been taking for about 10 years. Sharon is one of my dearest friends, my crafty mentor and my second mom. (My fabulous mother and Sharon are BFFs!) Anyway, Sharon has recently decided to carry and teach Dare 2B Artzy in her classes. I was SO THRILLED! Today, I’m highlighting the most recent creation she taught using Dare 2B Artzy Quilted Turtle. Sharon is amazing at putting together fun folds for her cards like this one:
The card folks very flat for mailing. It clasps close with the cute heart and then just the panel with the turtle lifts for the sentiment. Very cool. She taught us to color in the shell with the stamps from the set using some distress inks. Since they are clear stamps, it’s pretty easy to line them up. (I used this technique in another card coming up later this week.)
If you are ever in the Sacramento area and are interested in taking a fun-filled class of learning and playing, reach out to me on Facebook.
Thanks for stopping in! Be sure to enter the Dare 2B Artzy Birthday Challenge this month. YOU could win a fabulous prize!
I primed my canvas using some Liquitex Gesso once dry I then stamped the images on my canvas. I also used some stamps from the Happiness Blooms stamp set and the sentiment is also from this set as well.
To color the canvas I used Gansai Tambi watercolors and some Fireworks! sprays in pink, blue and purples. I added some molding paste here and there with a stencil just to add some texture to the piece. These stamps are perfect for mixed media or a Clean and Simple card.
I hope everyone enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to enter our Birthday challenge this month – YOU could be the next lucky winner! Also, have a look at some of the new goodies in stock! There are some gorgeous Christmas stamps and papers!!!
