Hello!  Chris here and today I would love to share this Tag I created using Dare 2B Artzy Stamps!

I started by adding Gesso to my tag.  I then stamped the Cloud from the Lift Your Spirits stamp set with Versamark and embossing with white embossing powder. I then used Tim Holtz Distress crayons ( Peeled paint, Picket Fence, Chipped Sapphire) to create create the background, blending with a baby wipe.

I then stamped the tiny balloon from the Hot Air Balloon set, using Tim Holtz Markers to color my stamp. ( you can see that stamping over the crayons works but isn’t perfect.)

I matted my tag onto Dare 2B Artzy Papers and added a coordinating ribbon.

I stamped the Large balloon from the Hot Air Balloon Set on a piece of white cardstock and die cut the image using the Dare 2B Artzy coordinating dies.  ( I used Archival Ink here since I was using the Distress Markers) After coloring the image with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, I added the balloon to my tag.

I then stamped my sentiment using Dare 2B Artzy Premium Ink!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!
Have you seen the adorable dog and cat stamps at Dare 2B Artzy??!  They are perfect for all the pet lovers in your life – or for thanking those that help you with your pets!  We have to leave our pup at a kennel if we are going to see fireworks (since it’s terrifying for him).  We love his kennel, so I make them a thank you card every now and then.  Like this one made with Dare 2B Artzy Puppy Talk and Pet Lovers stamps and Dare 2B Artzy, Artzy Doodles Paper:

Seriously, LoVe this set.  I colored the pup with the following Copic Colors.

Copic Colors used:
Dog:  E31, E33, E35, E4
Collar:  B95, B97, RV66, RV69
To add some fun texture to the dog’s fur, I lightly sprayed a piece of a washcloth with blending solution and dabbed it on the colored image.    I also “colored” his eyes with some glossy accents and added some Zig Wink of Stella to the heart on his collar.  Check it out close-up.
And for the inside, the perfect sentiment – don’t you think?.

Craftily yours,

Happy, happy mid-week Dare 2B Artzy fans! I can’t believe that we’re almost half way through this year. Time goes by so quickly, or maybe it’s just that I’m older and the older you are the more quickly time passes. I guess that’s how time works, LOL!

The project I’m sharing today is celebrating the old red, white and blue. I’ve been feeling a bit patriotic lately. Not sure if it’s because Independence Day is right around the corner or because it’s a crazy election year or maybe it’s just a summer vibe I’ve got going on.  It’s good to celebrate what the red, white and blue represents.

For this project I used the groom owl from the Dare 2B Artzy Wedding Owls set and turned him into a patriotic owl.  There were a couple of steps in giving him a suit fit for a celebration.

First, since the the jacket portion of his little tuxedo is solid black I couldn’t just color it with my Copics. I first stamped him on a white cardstock and fussy cut the tuxedo jacket out – that gave me a pattern to use. I took that pattern and traced it onto the blue cardstock and fussy cut that out to get my final blue tuxedo jacket.  You could also use some fun patterned paper for this type of paper piecing.

I stamped the owl a final time onto some white cardstock and colored him with my Copics. Once he was colored, I glued his blue tuxedo jacket in place and added some clear Wink of Stella to it to give it some sparkle. I was about to fussy cut the whole owl out again and I remembered at the last second that I had the Owl Die from the Dare 2B Artzy D1 Owl Cupcake die set which works with the groom owl in the Wedding Owls set.  Glad I remembered I had that before I fussy cut it-yay! The same die works for many other Dare 2B Artzy owls. You can check out the entire owl collection here – there’s an owl stamp for all seasons & occasions. There’s a coordinating die for both types of owls so lots of options when it comes to selecting a stamp and having a coordinating die that works with it. That’s one of the things that I love about the Dare 2B Artzy line of stamps & dies! You don’t have to buy a bunch of different dies to coordinate with your stamps. There’s generally one die that works for multiple stamps. LOVE IT!

My little owl needed a top hat to complete his outfit so I used a top hat die cut that I had and I paper pieced it with some red, white and blue paper to look like Uncle Sam’s top hat. I added some Wink of Stella sparkle to it as well and glued it onto his head on one side.

For my background I die cut some of the Dare 2B Artzy papers from the Artzy Doodles paper pack in a red pattern along with some solid card blue cardstock and layered them up. Next, I used the red and white and blue and white striped strips that I cut from the edge of the 12 x 12 Dare 2B Artzy cardstock (yes, I save these – because you never know when you could use it). I glued them in place on my background for a little contrast against the solid white background.

To create some more dimension to my card I used some star dies and die cut several different pieces of Dare 2B Artzy cardstock and some shiny foiled papers with the various sized stars. I layered them up in various dimensions on top of my background to sort of represent fireworks.

I didn’t have any sentiments for 4th of July so I just created my own by selecting an appropriate font in my computer and creating a “Happy 4th of July” sentiment. I resized it and printed it to some white cardstock and then die cut it and added it to my card. Note, if you’re in need of a special font to create a sentiment, a great resource for fonts can be found at Most are free to download for personal use.

In the end, my Wedding Owl was transformed into the Grand Marshal at the 4th of July parade. I love, love how this card turned out. Using a little artistic freedom to dress up your stamps and use them in new and different ways really expands your stamp collection.

I hope this card inspired you to look at what you can create with the stamps in your collection. There are lots of stamps in the Dare 2B Artzy store that can be used in many different ways. Hope everyone has a wonderfully crafty week, a happy summer and a wonderful 4th of July Celebration!

Welcome Dare 2B Atrzy fans!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N Make Cards to share a fun project with you!!

For my post today, I want to share something a little fun idea for a kids card!

So when we have fun images we are always so eager to color them with a coloring medium of our choice!  Well for today’s project I’m not coloring my image!!

I’m letting the recipient, a child in my case, the chance to color the image in themselves!!

Started by collecting a few supplies:

Stamps (Ruff Day, Bright Birthday)

Ink (Totally Black)

Start by stamping your image, I decided to use the adorable dog from the Ruff Day stamp set! And stamped the “Happy Birthday” from the Bright Birthday stamp set!

I absolutely LOVE Dare 2B Artzy’s stamps for this technique!! The images remind me of images you’d see in coloring books!  Which is perfect for this technique!

Now contain yourself from wanting to color the image in!  I know it is hard, as we all are use to coloring images in as soon as we stamp them!  But for this technique we aren’t going to color it in!

Next put your crayons together!

I usually put 4 on my cards!

You can then adhere the bundle of crayons to your card!

So fun and simple, yet such a fun card to give a kid!

Here is my finished card:

How fun!!

Sure to make some little kid really excited!

I find that a card like this usually catches the interest of kids! As normally they aren’t very interested in cards.

Hi crafters! Today I am here to share a card I made using a nice rainbow spectrum  Kaleidacolor from Imagine Crafts.   This stamp from the “Get Well Smiles” stamp set is simply perfect.

Fun Simple Card

I double stamped the flowers on the card and matted it against Magarita Lime paper from the store to bring out the colors of the flowers.

Hello!  Chris here and today I would like to share this canvas I created using Dare 2B Artzy Stamps and Artzy Doodle Papers!

I started this project using a premade made (as in the text was already added) canvas that I picked up at Michaels.

I first stamped the flower from the Tangle Jumpstart set a couple of times on scrap paper.  I cut those stamped images out to create some masks to use while stamping on my canvas.

I then stamped the Flower from the Tangle Jumpstart onto my canvas, masking the flowers as needed to create the background. I chose to use Archival Ink since I knew I was going to be using some very wet watercolor inks.  I then painted my flowers using ColourArte’s Twinkling H2Os.  I chose the Twinkling H2Os because they add transparent color that allowed that text to show through!

Here is a close up of the flowers.

While my watercolors were still wet I added splatters of color all over the canvas.  I added my sentiment which was printed on piece of cardstock with decopage.

I then used a small butterfly punch to punch the butterflies out from the Artzy Doodles papers! I folded each butterfly and adhered only the “body” of the butterflies to give the appearance of flight.  I added a few touches of glass bead paste through a Crafter’s Workshop stencil just to add a bit of clear, sparkly texture.  I hope you enjoyed this project!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!

That card was SO much fun to color with my Copics.

And here’s a close up.  I stamped the box and sentiment and fussy cut them to pop them up:

Craftily yours,

Howdy Dare 2B Artzy friends! I’m popping in today to share my latest card with Dare 2B Artzy.

I have to say that when I first saw the Rocky Road stamp set, I giggled out loud. I love the little guy in this stamp set so much. I just wanted to hug him. He reminds me of my hubby, who loves ice cream. I can picture my hubby looking a lot like this, standing outside the ice cream shop, hat on backwards, enjoying his scoop (or two) of some great ice cream. Not a care in the world. Our favorite ice cream shop in the Colorado area serves, Italian Gelato. OMG, is it tasty! If you’re ever in the Boulder area, look up Glacier Ice Cream – you won’t regret it!

I’m a fan of quick and easy cards and my card today card was really simple to create.

I started off my project by stamping the little ice cream guy with some black ink. There isn’t a die set available for this stamp, but I was able to cut it out pretty well with my Brother Scan N Cut machine.

Next, I used my Copic markers and colored him with some bright blue and orange, leaving his tennis shoes kind of neutral and then giving his balloon a nice pop of green.

Once, I’d finished coloring him it was just a matter of selecting some bright summer type papers to use for the background. I pulled an orange cardstock and a bright yellow striped cardstock giving them some dimension with some foam in between the layers.

I used the “Summer Days and Ice Cream Cones…as close to Heaven as it gets” sentiment from the same stamp set. This sentiment pretty much sums it up. Although it’s not officially summer yet, we’ve had several 80 degree days and it’s already feeling like summer is here.

I stamped the sentiment on some white cardstock with some embossing ink and heat embossed it with some orange embossing powder.

I added a strip of the striped edge of the D2BA Artzy Doodles paper to kind of give it that ice cream shop feel.

For a finishing touch, I glued several sequins onto my card front for some sparkle and added dimension.

Such a fun card! It just makes me antsy for my summer vacation and ice cream with my hubby.

Hope you enjoyed my card today as much as I did creating it. Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Be sure to check out the entire line of Dare 2B Artzy stamps, papers and inks in the store.  If you like this card, feel free to check out my other Dare 2B Artzy inspiration over on my blog.

Wishing you a wonderfully crafty rest of the week!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N Make Cards to share some fun inspiration with you!!

I have a fun and simple tutorial to share with you today, called Bordered Sentiment!

Grab some supplies:

Card Base

Card Layer

Cut Strip of Thin Paper

Painter’s Tape

Take your main card layer and place the cut thin strip of paper on top where you would like your sentiment to go.  I used a piece of printer paper.  Adhere painter’s tape to the thin piece of paper on each side of the card layer to keep it in position.

This will keep the area underneath the paper blank, so any images stamped won’t show in that area where we will later stamp a sentiment, creating a “border” around the sentiment, giving this technique it’s name “Bordered Sentiment”!!

I decided to place my piece of paper at a slant to give a little interest to the card.

Stamp whatever images you wish! For my card today I decided to get a head start on some Christmas cards, so I decided to use the beautiful Snowflake Wishes stamp set!!  So I started stamping the pretty snowflakes!

I used the Paradise, Midnight Blue and Wild Orchid Ink Pads!

When you are satisfied with the design you have created, you can remove the painter’s tape and piece of paper!  You are now ready to stamp your sentiment! (I also decided to add the smaller snowflake by my sentiment, which you will see in my finished card!)

I really like the three colors I used!!

My finished card:

I finished up my card by adding some bling among my beautiful stamped snowflakes!

Which is a friendly reminder to join in our Challenge this month!!  It’s all about BLING this month!!
