Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!  Are you a list-maker?  I am.  I have lists in notebooks, lists on my computer and lists on post-it notes.  They are everywhere!  I decided to try to organize my crafty-notes….so I made a crafty notebook!  I used the sweet girl from the Dare 2B Artzy Turtle Couple stamps, the heart from the same set, and some fun and fabulous Dare 2B Artzy, Artzy Doodles Paper.

Isn’t she fun!?!? Here are the Copic markers I used to color her.

Shell/Heart:  Y00, Y02, Y15, Y18, BG02, BG45

Turtle Body:  YG03, YG06, YG61, YG63

After coloring her, I fussy cut her and layered her up. I stamped with used Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Premium Ink. I used a Sizzix Alphabet die to cut the letters and added some twine, lace and pearls.

Here’s a close-up of that fun, dolled-up turtle:

Craftily yours,

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!
I’m thrilled to be here today sharing the adorable Wedding Owl stamps from Dare 2B Artzy. This set jumped out at me because of the expression on Mr. Owl’s face. His big eyes. He looks like he’s absolutely awe struck with his Bride.

For this card I colored my adorable owl couple with my Copic markers. I added a little pearl embellishment in her head piece and a couple of dots of perfect pearls liquid to her ears to make earrings. I chose to use purple and orange as those were the colors for my own wedding.

My hubby and I had a fall wedding in October 2010 and our flowers were purple and burnt orange. I think my bridesmaids and family thought I’d lost my mind when I chose those colors, but they turned out gorgeous. My husband looked somewhat similar to Mr. Owl as he waited for me at the end of that very long aisle. A little awe struck with tears in his eyes. He later told me that he doesn’t remember anything else in that moment, the people that were in the church, the music, the pastor. He said the only thing he saw was me and how beautiful I looked coming down the aisle. Awe! Yes, he’s still that sweet even 6 years later. He never misses a day telling me that he thinks I’m beautiful. I think he’s a keeper!!

The Wedding Owl stamp set features several interchangeable sentiments that you could use to make wedding cards, anniversary cards or just a fun card for someone special. I chose to use the “Owl share my branch with you FOREVER” sentiment from the set. I heat embossed it with some purple embossing powder and then I die cut it using a little word bubble die.

For my card background, I used a LOVE banner die and die cut the piece of gold polka dot cardstock near the bottom of the panel. Once I had it cut, I cut a rectangle sized piece of purple glitter cardstock and glued it to the back of the gold cardstock.

Finally I was ready to add my owl couple to my background with some dimensional foam for the back of her to make it appear that she was in front of him, walking towards him. I also added some dimensional foam to the word bubble over Mr. Owl’s head.

I added a full layer of a lighter purple cardstock to the back of my panel and glued the entire piece to my white cardstock base.

To finish my card, I added some purple glitter dimensional gems to the bottom front of the card.

Welcome Dare 2B Atrzy fans!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N Make Cards to share a fun project with you!!
Today I am sharing how to create a shaker card!!!  They are so much fun!!

Gather your supplies:

Stamps – Bright Birthday, Birthday Balloons, Live Life

Dies –  Make a Wish

Paper – Sunset Yellow, Bright Pumpkin

Ink – Sunset Yellow, Paradise, Margarita Lime, Bright Pumpkin, Totally Black

Foam Dimensional Tape

I started by die cutting the scallop square from the Make a Wish die set from Sunset Yellow pattern paper!

And the Make a Wish die cut from Bright Pumpkin pattern paper.  Before I die cut it, I first added some double sided adhesive to the side I wasn’t going to use, this will just make it easiest to adhere to the acetate as it is so intricate.

I cut a piece of white cardstock just slightly smaller than the Make a Wish die cut, as I decided I wanted the shaker die cut to have a white background rather than the Sunset Yellow.

Adhere the dimensional foam adhesive to the backside of the die cut as show below:

Now for the fun!!

Add some sequins to the center!!

Then adhere the white cut square to create your shaker!!

My finished card:

SUPER fun!  I love creating shaker cards!

As you can see I used the Bright Birthday, Birthday Balloons and Live Life stamp sets to create my own background behind the shaker!!

The Bright & Happy Wishes sentiment is from the Bright Birthday stamp set!

Shake! Shake!!

Hope I’ve inspired you to create some fun shaker cards!!!

Hi crafters!! It is hot here in Sunny Florida although it has been raining on and off.  Funny how life changes.  Today I am here sharing a card I made in a funny way for my dad.  He was diagnosed with Cancer and in another week we are going back up to Houston for his 6 month check.  Fingers crossed all goes well.  Growing up I used to try and sell lemonade and my horribly made stand my dad would come out and with a flick of a nail and hit of a hammer I would have this amazing lemonade stand.

So here’s to you dad and our year of lemonade stands we made hmm.. well maybe he made I just sat back and collected the money haha. Lemonade 14151

HI! Chris here and today I am sharing this  cute baby card I created for Dare 2B Artzy!  I started by cutting 6 squares from the Artzy Doodles Variety paper pack. I adhered them to my card and added some faux stitching.  I used my scallop deco scissors ( Yep! You read that right!  I still have my deco scissors and love them!) to cut a border strip from the pink Artzy Doodles paper.
I stamped the Turtle from the Turtle Couple Stamp Set. I used the coordinating Turtle Die to cut out my stamped image with Totally Black Premium Ink. I colored my image using my Copic markers ( Y11, V06, V01, B21, G24, Blender) . Here is a close up of my Turtle and faux stitching. The color on my turtle ended up being a little darker than I wanted so I used my blender pen to take away a little bit of the ink.
I cut a greeting block and hand wrote my greeting and added faux stitching to finish off the card! Can’t wait to see what you create with these adorable papers and stamps!

Hi all!  kel from Scraps & photoGRAFFS here to share a pretty and bright card with you today!  This is from the Totally Tracy Be There and Be Square clear set in the Dare 2B Artzy Store.

I stamped the beautiful flower square multiple times, and then colored them all up.  The flowers I kept the same, because I wanted to have a cohesive look to it… but the backgrounds I split between two very different colors.  I actually knew I wanted to pair these squares up with the flower side of the Artzy Doodles Sunset Yellow 12×12 paper, so I chose colors that matched up nicely with them.

The last thing I did with the squares was to pop them up on 3d dots and rotate them so they all sat a little differently!

I just love how this card came out so much!!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

lovies, =o) kel

Hi all!  kel from Scraps & photoGRAFFS here sharing a fun birthday card made using the Birthday Balloons with Die clear set from the Dare 2B Artzy store!

I used the balloon trio and strings from the set to stamp this one out… it was super easy to line up and make pretty because the set is clear and you can see right through it!!  I also used the backside of the Fields In Bloom 12×12 paper with the super cute dots and matched my balloon colors to it.

So cute and fun and I love that it could go for either a boy or a girl… the colors are just that perfect for either one!!

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!!

Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!  Karen N here from Craftily Yours!
When I saw this FABULOUS Dare 2B Artzy Totally Tracy Stamp – Hearts & Swirls, I couldn’t WAIT to ink it up!  I absolutely LoVe the heart with flower wings.  Super fabulous.
I decided to stamp it twice on watercolor cardstock.  On one version, I painted the heart red (with white polka dots done with a Molotow Acrylic White Paint Marker) and painted the leaves green.  I fussy cut both out and fussy cut out just the petals on the flower.  To color, I used Ken Oliver Color Burst powders mixed with water.  On the other version, I created a background using the Color Bursts as well.  I colored up a second yelow heart from the Hearts & Swirls set and fussy cut it out.  Then I layered it all up.  The red heart and green leaves are glued flat and the petals are popped up on the ends.  I also covered the yellow heart with Glossy Accents and used pop tape to stick it in the middle.  Here’s a close-up:
With the polka dots, it’d be perfect for this month’s Dare 2B Artzy Polka Dot challenge!  (Have you joined us yet??!)
And I decorated in the inside with just a wee bit of color burst and another heart from the set.

Craftily yours,

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!

Hope everyone is having a great week. I’m here with Dare 2B Artzy today to share a couple of fun cards.

20160412_005436-1_wm [185488]

Sometimes, I like to just sit in my craft space in my office and create and not think. It’s a good release to just play with my craft supplies and see what colors, designs come out of it.  It’s not about being perfect it’s about having fun and releasing stress at the same time.

These cards were a product of my stress free play time.  I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock and I heat embossed the medium and small flower cluster stamp from the Happiness Blooms stamp set from Dare 2B Artzy with some super fine detail, white embossing powder.

20160412_005601-1-1_wm [185490]

I’ll be honest, painting with watercolors or trying to create with water colors terrifies me. It’s so far out of my comfort zone. I always feel like anything I’d create with watercolor isn’t perfect or good enough to show to people. It always looks like brown blobs on expensive paper – clearly I’m challenged in the mixing water color departments, LOL!

I recently learned about micro fine watercolor powders and thought that maybe I could do water color effects and backgrounds after all. The powders can be used in a variety of different ways. You can put them in a palette and add water to make water color paint, you can add it to a spray bottle and spray it on a background, you can “puff” the powder onto paper first and then add water or you can add water to the background first and then “puff” the micro fine powder on afterwards.

I chose to try the latter. I did a wash of water over my entire background and picked two colors of powder for each of my cards. For one background I used Tangerine and Lime Green and on the other I used Turquoise and Orchid (my personal favorite color combo). I found that using more than a couple colors on each background sort of made it muddy so

I stuck to two colors on each background.

20160412_005625_001-1_wm [185489]

These powders sort of reminded me of Easter egg dye tablets. They react as soon as they touch water. It was very cool to watch the powder move across the paper with the water making patterns and mixing with the other color. It was kind of like watching a lava lamp.

Once I was satisfied with the mixing and level of color on my background. I used a cloth and placed it over the background and gently pressed (not rubbed) to absorb the excess water & ink.  Once the cloth was removed there were a couple of spots that didn’t get covered in the ink. I added a bit of clean water to them and “puffed” some more micro fine powder on and let the colors blend together again. I dabbed off the excess water & ink again and set them aside to dry.

The background tends to become a bit more vibrant once they are fully dry. The white flowers look so pretty. They really pop against the colorful background.

While they were drying I stamped and heat embossed the sentiments and die cut them. To finish I added a few pearl embellishments to the one card. You don’t need much with these backgrounds being so vibrant, the cards kind of speak for themselves.

20160412_005643-1_wm [185491]

All that was left was to assemble my cards.

These cards were very fun to make and the results are a beautiful. I can think of several stamp sets from Dare 2B Artzy that would look amazing with some watercolor detail like this. You should check out the Dare 2B Artzy blog for more inspiration from my fellow DT ladies and then pick up your favorite stamps sets from the online store.

Hope you have a wonderfully crafty week!
