Welcome Dare 2B Artzy fans!!

Karen N here from Craftily Yours.  Today, I decided to go nautical with a bit of a feminine flair.  I LoVe Dare 2B Artzy’s Ahoy Mate Fox Stamp Set so much.  Here’s what I did:

I love her blue-dyed fur!  🙂  Here are the Copic markers I used to color her.

Fox:  W0, W2, W5, B000, B00, B02

Shirt:  B24, B26, R56, R59

Eyes:  B93, B95

After coloring her, I fussy cut her and layered her up on some beautiful papers from the  Dare 2B Artzy, Artzy Doodles Paper Pack.  I stamped with used Dare 2B Artzy Totally Black Premium Ink.

Here’s a close-up of the fun and fabulous foxy girl:

Craftily yours,

Hello and welcome back, Dare 2B Artzy Fans.  Tonya here from Krafty Enchantments to share a fun Birthday Card with you!!

If you’re anything like me, you love getting bright, fun cards on your birthday. It just makes that day that much more special when people remember your Birthday. It’s always extra special to get a handmade card because you know a lot of love and thought went into it.

Today I’m sharing this fun Birthday card using the Birthday Balloons stamp and die combo set.

Birthday Balloons & Die

This small set packs a creative punch with 10 stamps and 1 balloon die. The individual balloons are about 1 ¼ inches tall and just under 1 inch wide. The group of 3 balloons are 2 inches tall by 1 ½ inches wide. You can color the stamps yourself or you can use one of the balloon stamps that are pre-designed.

I started my card background by masking off a piece of white cardstock with some Washi tape and inking it up in two different shades. Once I was satisfied with my coverage of color I brushed on some Perfect Pearls powder over the ink. This gives it a light shimmer over the surface of the ink.

Next I used an embossing folder to add a quilted design to my inked cardstock and then die cut it with a stitched square die.

I cut a few other layers of cardstock in colors that were complimentary to layer up my card background.

I wanted the balloon trio to pop so I stamped them onto some white cardstock and then partially die cut the bottom with a fishtail flag die and fussy cut around the balloons. Once they were cut out I colored the balloons with my Copic markers being sure to leave a slight highlight on each balloon. I also added some colorless blender to the highlight to make it pop a bit more. To finish them off I added some Glossy Accents to the balloons to give them some shine and dimension.

I cut additional fishtail flags from some Artzy Doodles paper. I cut them along the top polka-dotted edge of the paper so that the flags would have additional patterned interest. That polka dotted edge can add an area of interest to your project so don’t cut and toss it – use it! On the fishtail flag that would be the middle layer I stamped the Happy Birthday wave with some Versamark and heat embossed it and added a couple of dimensional glitter dots on either side of the text.

I layered all 3 flags together adding some dimensional foam to the layer with the balloons and also tied a piece of twine around it.

For my main sentiment, I die cut a fancy tag and stamped the Happy Birthday and heat embossed it with some purple embossing powder. I also brushed on some Perfect Pearls powder to give the sentiment the same shimmer as my background. I added two glitter dots on either side of my sentiment.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this bright, fun Birthday card. Of course, the Birthday Balloons stamp & die set is perfect for any occasion, not just Birthday’s.

Today I am sharing a Birthday card!
I used the awesome new Birthday Balloons with Die set!!!
I absolutely LOVE this set!!
Take a look at the entire set:

I started by die cutting the balloon, so that I could make the shaker part.  I then stamped the cluster of balloons.   I then stamped the solid balloon in Margarita Lime Ink!  As well as stamping the star balloon in Bright Pumpkin Ink!

The swirly designed balloon was stamped on a separate piece of white cardstock.  So that I could make the shaker part.  It was stamped in Sunset Yellow!
I then put my shaker parts together!!
Stay tuned as I will be sharing how to create shaker cards, for those who don’t know, in an upcoming post!!  So you’ll have to check back!!
I stamped the beautiful Happy Birthday sentiment, also part of the Birthday Balloons with Die set in Totally Black Ink on a piece of Bright Pumpkin Paper!!  Love the brightness and beauty of this paper!!

Craftily yours,

Hi Dare 2B Artzy friends!

I’m so happy to be here today to share another adorable stamp set from the 2016 new releases. Today, my project features the Ahoy Mate set.

I’ve got to tell you,  this little fox is so stinkin’ cute – I just want to hug him in his little sailor outfit! LOL! This stamp set features 8 stamps and has a coordinating die set as well. I knew this set would be perfect to make a masculine birthday card.

To create my card, I started by making some black bars in a stripe pattern on my laser printer. I tried to get them as evenly spaced as possible-though I didn’t actually measure the distance between them, I just kind of eyeballed it. Once I printed them onto some cardstock I cut it down to a 5 ½ inch square and ran it through my Minc machine with some red foil to get the red stripes.

Next I used a bit of embossing talc in the white areas (to keep the stray embossing powder from sticking to other areas and the foil) and then stamped the Ahoy stamp from the set in those white areas with some Versamark. Once stamped, I was able to emboss it with some opaque blue embossing powder. I wasn’t sure if it would be better to emboss first or foil first. I chose to foil first and I did notice that the heat embossing afterwards did change the texture of the foil as it didn’t have as smooth a finish to it. That might be something to consider if you’re going to try something similar. I’m not sure how the embossing would have reacted to the foiling process if I’d reversed the order in creating the background.

With my background finished I began working on painting the wooden anchor I found at a local craft store. It was a layered piece so I decided to paint it a couple of different shades to give it some depth. I used some Gesso as a primer and then I used a darker grey for the background and metallic silver paint on the front. I did a couple coats of both to get even coverage.

Ahoy Fox closeup wm

I colored the adorable little sailor fox with my Copics, I kept him very neutral colored as I knew that the background would be bold. It would be fun to color him in some fun colors though and have fun with that. Rather than fussy cut him, I used my Scan-n-cut machine which left a nice border all the way around the fox.

Finally I heat embossed the “Happy Birthday” sentiment and die cut it with a fishtail flag die and added a small enamel dot to the flag.

I put all the layers together, adding some dimensional foam on the sentiment and fox; and used a piece of the navy blue Artzy Doodles paper which paired nicely with some plain red paper.

This was a fun to work on and I love how all the elements came together in the finished card. I hope you enjoyed it. Please take a peek at the Dare 2B Artzy store for the Ahoy Mate set and many, many other great stamps in the 2016 release as well as some beautiful, colorful (double-sided) papers and inks that are also available in the store.

Have a wonderful day!

I’ve had these sweet photos of my daughter from last summer printed off for awhile now, waiting for the right moment to scrap them!Well, today is the day!

I recently got the beautiful Big Bloom stamp set and the flower instantly made me think of these photos!

Just take a look at the large flower in the set:

Not only is it beautiful, but it is so super fun to color!!!!
I stamped the image a few times, so that I could cut out portions of it to pop-up!  There are a total of 3 layers!

I love flowers, which has seemed to be passed down to my daughter as she loves cutting my flowers to bring in the house to put in a vase.  I believe flowers really make life beautiful, so I thought the “Life is Beautiful” sentiment from the Big Bloom stamp set was a very fitting title. So I stamped it with Wild Orchid Ink!!

I also used some of Dare 2B Artzy’s lovely new papers!!!!  They are so bright and beautiful!!!
I used Sunset Yellow, Wild Orchid and Paradise!  The new premium dye inks match the color in our new Artzy Doodles Paper Series!

Hi crafters! Monica here sharing a toilet paper mini album using Dare 2B Artzy patterned papers.  I used In Bloom, Blooming Borders, Blooms paper pack and the Get Well Smiles stamp set.

I used old toilet paper rolls to make the mini album and covered it with various patterned papersIMG_5175

For the front I used the flower from the set as a framed center piece with a chipboard frame.

Here you can see the mini from an aerial view and each page has an insert piece.

I hope everyone has enjoyed my post and thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to check out our first ever

Hi Chris here and today I am sharing this beautiful card
made using Dare 2 B Artzy’s New Happiness Blooms Stamp Set.

To create this card I stamped the Flower images using VersaMark and then embossed the images with White Embossing Powder. I then colored the entire page with Gelatos. I then blended the Gelatos and wiped the color off of the embossed images!

I added my stamped greeting using Dare 2B Artzy’s Pomegranate ink.

Hope you are inspired to get stamping!
